Laminated Glass is also classified as safety glass and has good resistance to shattering. It is stronger than toughened glass and provides UV-resistance, extra security, and soundproofing which makes it useful in Studios, Airports etc.
Laminated glass is extremely useful in areas that need high-security such as Banks, High Rise Buildings, and Jewelry Shops. It is also very useful for overhead glazing in buildings.
The process of making laminated glass involves the joining two or more glass shades, with a transparent resin or colored film referred as inter layer; and then by heating, pressing and bonding them together to create a compound glass product.
This compound product reduces the risk of injury due to broken glass to a considerable extent.
It is primarily used in manufacturing of Glass Hand Rails, Glass partitions, Glass Sky lite, Glass Sliding doors, Flooring, Bullet-proof glass etc.
